There is something undeniably magical about a wedding in Aspen. Surrounded by the dramatic Elk Mountains, golden aspen groves, and the timeless beauty of Colorado, The Little Nell wedding of Alex + Jordan was one of those celebrations that stays with you long after the last dance.

Their grand Aspen wedding brought together everything they love about the mountains: incredible scenery, meaningful family moments, beautiful design, and a celebration filled with the people who matter most.

With the Elk Mountain Range providing a breathtaking backdrop, every part of their wedding day felt intentional and deeply personal.

I had the honor of documenting their wedding day as their Colorado wedding photographer, preserving the moments, emotions, and details that made their celebration uniquely theirs.

The Rehearsal Dinner

The celebration began with an unforgettable rehearsal dinner surrounded by family and their wedding party.

One of the couple’s favorite memories was walking into the dinner and seeing the tables completely transformed.

“What made the most incredible moments was walking into our rehearsal dinner and seeing how absolutely stunning the centerpieces and table decor turned out.”

Before the rest of their guests arrived, Alex + Jordan were able to slow down and enjoy time with their closest people.

They shared an incredible meal, surrounded by beautiful tablescapes and thoughtful details, but one of the most emotional moments of the evening came during Jordan’s dad’s toast.

His words were heartfelt, personal, and moving enough to bring everyone to tears.

It was the perfect beginning to a wedding weekend centered around family, friendship, and love.

Favorite Memories From Their Wedding Day

For Alex + Jordan, some of the most meaningful moments happened before they ever walked down the aisle.

Getting ready with their wedding party and parents gave them time to soak in the anticipation of the day.

For Alex, giving her mom a thank-you gift was especially meaningful. Her mom had been such an important part of the wedding planning process, and this quiet moment gave Alex an opportunity to tell her just how much that support meant.

Then came a series of unforgettable first looks.

Alex shared a first look with her bridesmaids, giving them the chance to see her wedding dress for the first time. She also had a first look with her dad — a moment they had talked about for years.

And then came the first look with Jordan.

The couple described their first look as the ultimate highlight of their wedding day.

After all the planning, anticipation, and months of waiting, they finally had a moment together — just the two of them.

Away from the movement of the wedding day, they could simply pause, take each other in, and experience the significance of what was happening.

Those are the moments I love documenting most as a wedding photographer: the ones that don’t need to be directed or recreated.

Just two people realizing, this is it.

A Beautiful Little Nell Wedding Ceremony

Having Alex’s dad walk her down the aisle was another deeply emotional moment.

The ceremony brought together everything that mattered most to the couple — their families, their closest friends, the mountains, and the beginning of their next chapter together.

Before the guests fully experienced the reception space, Alex + Jordan also had the opportunity to see the venue themselves.

After months of planning, seeing the finished design and floral details come together was an emotional experience.

The flowers, tablescapes, and details created exactly the atmosphere they had dreamed about.

And then it was time to celebrate.

Dancing the Night Away in Aspen

If there was one thing that could bring everyone together after such an emotional day, it was dancing.

Alex + Jordan’s reception became a true celebration, surrounded by their favorite people.

They danced, laughed, celebrated, and enjoyed every moment with their guests.

For them, dancing the night away with everyone they loved was one of the biggest highlights of the entire wedding.

And honestly, that’s what a wedding should feel like.

Not a performance.

Not a perfectly scripted production.

But a day filled with the people you love, the places that mean something to you, and the memories you will carry with you for the rest of your lives.
