Kenosha Pass in the Fall Adventure | Colorado Adventure Engagement Photographer
Kenosha Pass Colorado Fall Engagement | An Adventure in the Aspen Groves
A Dreamy Fall Adventure Engagement at Kenosha Pass
There are some places in Colorado that feel almost too beautiful to be real.
Kenosha Pass in the fall is one of them.
When the aspens turn gold, the afternoon light filters through the trees, and the mountains begin to glow, it becomes the perfect setting for an adventurous Colorado engagement session.
For Myles + his fiancé, this wasn’t just another pretty place.
Kenosha Pass had become part of their story.
And photographing their love among the golden aspens during peak fall color was pretty magical.
Their Colorado Love Story
Myles had only recently moved to Colorado when he decided to attend Denver’s Beachbody Super Saturday.
He had no idea that walking into that event would change his life.
Across the room, he noticed her.
Curious, he made his way over and sat next to her.
After the small talk, Myles explained that he was new to Denver, starting a new job in a few weeks, and didn’t really know anyone yet.
He was looking for a friend.
And, as it turns out, he found something much better.
After seeing each other several more times and getting to know one another, they decided to take the next step and become exclusive.
Dating each other felt different.
They came from completely different worlds.
She was a city girl.
Myles grew up on a farm in Kansas.
Two opposites that somehow fit perfectly together.
She had never imagined herself with a country boy. But after visiting his hometown for the first time, she realized there was something about his world she hadn’t known she needed.
And Myles?
He was already paying attention.
Long before they were even officially together, he remembered their conversations about the kind of ring she wanted.
That should have been a clue.
He Knew From The Beginning
They both knew what they were building was going to be permanent.
Travel became a huge part of their relationship.
They bought a camper and started exploring the Colorado mountains whenever they could.
They loved the simplicity.
The quiet.
The mountain lakes.
The challenge of a good hike.
The feeling of getting away from everything and having nowhere else to be.
And then there was Maroon Bells.
Maroon Bells Became Part Of Their Story
Early in their relationship, they took a day trip to Maroon Bells.
They fell in love with the landscape immediately.
So they started making an annual trip back toward the end of fall, when the surrounding mountainsides exploded into shades of gold.
It became their tradition.
Their favorite mountains.
Their favorite season.
Their favorite place to wander together.
So when they got engaged, there was really no question where they wanted to get married.
They knew.
Maroon Bells.
After waiting several months for the booking window to open, their dream wedding date was officially set for September 24, 2020.
And they couldn’t have been more excited.
Their Kenosha Pass Engagement Adventure
Before the wedding, we headed to Kenosha Pass for their Colorado fall engagement session.
And Colorado absolutely delivered.
The aspens were glowing.
The mountains were breathtaking.
And the evening light filtering through the trees was everything you could hope for during a fall adventure engagement.
Everyone arrived early, so we started the session ahead of schedule and made the most of that beautiful mountain light.
We wandered through the aspen groves, laughed, explored, and found quiet moments together among the fall foliage.
Nothing felt forced.
Nothing needed to be overly posed.
Just two people completely comfortable with each other in a place they loved.
That’s my favorite kind of engagement session.
What It Was Like Working Together
Myles + his fiancé knew they wanted a photographer who genuinely loved the mountains as much as they did.
They were introduced to me through a family member, and after looking through my work and reading the reviews, they knew they had found the right fit.
But the best part?
They said working with me felt like hanging out with one of their best friends.
We laughed.
We joked.
We explored.
We played in the mountains.
And we created photographs that felt natural to them.
That’s exactly what I want an engagement session to feel like.
Not a photo shoot where you’re constantly wondering what you’re supposed to do next.
An experience.
An adventure.
A few hours where you get to forget about everything else and simply enjoy being together.
Golden Aspen Trees + Mountain Light + Two People In Love
Kenosha Pass filled their hearts.
And honestly, it filled mine, too.
There is something incredibly special about photographing couples in places that already mean something to them.
The location isn’t just a backdrop.
It’s part of the story.
The golden aspens become part of the memory.
The mountain air.
The laughter.
The hike.
The way the sunlight came through the trees.
All of it becomes intertwined with the photographs.
And that’s what I love about Colorado adventure engagement photography.
We’re not just creating pretty pictures.
We’re creating a memory of what it felt like to be there.
Your Colorado Adventure Engagement
If you love the mountains, don’t settle for a generic engagement session.
Bring your hiking boots.
Bring the person you love.
Bring the places that mean something to you.
We’ll find the light, explore the landscape, laugh a ridiculous amount, and create photographs that feel like an extension of your relationship.
Whether you’re dreaming of golden aspens at Kenosha Pass, an alpine adventure near Maroon Bells, or somewhere completely off the beaten path, your engagement session can be so much more than photographs.
It can be an adventure you’ll remember long after the gallery is delivered.
Let’s go explore Colorado together.
